I can’t believe how much I’ve managed to accomplish in the last 2 months! I am ahead of the schedule I set for myself, which is good because I feel like I’m hitting a snag with Book 3-Why can’t I remember exactly what I wrote over a year ago? Brain is rude! But let me tell you what I have accomplished since I wrote the Welcome blog post.
The lastest Spark Keeper ebook update is published and available at all your favourite eBook retailers. The Paperback and Hardcover formats of The Spark Keeper are in design mode. The Paperback is nearly done and ready to start printing. Let me tell you, I can not wait to hold a physical copy of my book in my little hands (and check off another of my author milestones!).
Even better update, till April 28th 2025, The Spark Keeper (eBook format) is on sale for $.99(usd) to celebrate the impending release of Path of The Keeper.
Path of The Keeper is done! I finished the edits and uploaded the final draft to Draft2Digital last week. Book 2 is officially up for pre-order everywhere except Amazon (because it wont let me do pre-orders 🙄). Official eBook release date is April 21st 2025, BUT …
If you’ve been on the Book 3 webpage you’ll know I’m supposed to be finishing the first draft of Book 3 in April. To finish said draft I need to read over the 50K words I wrote back in November 2023. It’s April 4th and I’ve managed to read a whole 2 chapters-not good. I’d planned to start writing the next chunk of the draft today, but I’m not anywhere close to ready. I already know the first 50K of Book 3 has continuity errors because I didn’t read the first two books before drafting Book 3 (rookie mistake but there were extenuating circumstances!), and I don’t want to add even more errors because I didn’t refresh my mind on the story before completing it. I’ve learned my lesson… maybe; I hope.
I need to quit writing this update and go focus on reading the first part of Book 3 so I can pick up the drafting bright and fresh on Monday morning!
Sorcha heard The Spark whisper in her mind, “Every time you try, you get a little further. Every small step forward is still movement forward. Just keep trying. You can do this…”
