May 2025 Book Updates

Wow, April flew by. So fast, in fact, that I still feel like I’m back at the beginning of the month and not in May. Yikes! I’m going to need time to slow down for a minute while I catch my breath. And catch up on tasks that I didn’t complete in April. And there were a lot of them-anybody else find their April did not follow the plan?

The Spark Keeper

The Paperback and Hardcover formats of The Spark Keeper are still in design mode. The Paperback is done and ready to start printing, but I have another task I put off that I need to complete before I hit that big print button.

The hardcover edition is a little further down the road. I’m struggling to decide where to print the hardcover-to give you the most beautiful edition possible while also getting a good quality book, in a timely fashion, without sacrificing your first born. Indie printing options are limited, but getting better.

If you haven’t picked up your copy of The Spark Keeper (eBook format), do so now to enjoy on the deck with a glass of lemonade.

Path of The Keeper

Path of The Keeper has been released into the wild! The ebook is now available on all vendor platforms.

I’ve started on the process of creating the paperback for Path of the Keeper. If all goes well, the paperback editions of The Spark Keeper and Path of The Keeper should release at the same time. Crossing my fingers.

Book 3

If you’ve been on the Book 3 webpage you’ll know I was supposed to be finishing the first draft of Book 3 in April. That did not go according to plan. I think I managed to write a whole 2000 words (which is more than I thought I wrote). I did manage to read through the 2023 draft-oh boy, the continuity errors I need to fix! That’ll be a May problem along with trying to figure out how to get my brain back into creative space so I can finish writing the story. If you’ve got tips for getting the creative juices flowing I’d love to see them in the comments!

On a side note, I did manage to plot out the short story I want to write for my newsletter subscribers. It’ll be from Uncle Macbeth’s point of view, so subscribers will get a chance to experience The Spark through Uncle Mac. Maybe writing this short will help get the creative juices flowing. One can hope.

Sorcha heard The Spark whisper in her mind, “Every time you try, you get a little further. Every small step forward is still movement forward. Just keep trying. You can do this…”
