Hi! I’m C. Rossler and I write cozy portal fantasy so I can escape this dumpster fire of a reality we’re all having to navigate, and instead spend my time with dragons, elves and fae creatures of all kinds.

My current work in progress (WIP) is The Spark Keeper Chronicles. I am in the process of formatting The Spark Keeper: Book 1 for publishing. Hopeful date is tomorrow, Friday February 14th- because I am insane and I like pressure deadlines! I am excited for readers to join me in The Spark and meet all the fantastic characters I’ve spent years getting to know. Helidoro is ♥ Love at First Read ♥.

When I’m not exploring the worlds I create, and the relationships within those worlds, I spend a lot of my time thinking about swords! I study and help teach Historical Sword Fighting (HEMA) with the local Combat guild. It’s a great place to hang out with other neurodivergent nerds and improve my physical health. Two pounds might not feel like much weight until you stretch it out to three+ feet and then stand holding it perpendicular to your body for more than a few seconds. After a year, my back is ripped!

Outside of writing and hitting people with swords (more getting hit with a sword these days, I’ve been side lined from sparring due to nerve damage in my arm for four months) I love reading, crafting, art, and being outside. I love walking while listening to music at any time of day. Or taking mental health walks with my kiddos or dogs.

I dabble in cosplay-both simple closet and the more elaborate form. It’s not unlikely to find me at the grocery store dressed like an elf, or at a vendor market as a steampunk Queen of Hearts, and of course Conventions! I really need to get on my Valkyrie cosplay for CoVaCon 2025. Last minute Cosplay and book publishing wont mix well.

Enough about me!

I better get back to formatting my novel, I’m running out of hours before I need to eat and get ready for sword practice.
